Terms of use

By accessing and using the AI-Backbone platform, its website, its tools, its generated strategies and any related content or services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must discontinue the use of the platform.

Nature of the service

AI-Backbone provides software tools that assist users in designing, building, backtesting and operating algorithmic trading strategies. The platform is a software and research instrument only. Nothing on this website, in the platform, in its documentation or in any communication made by AI-Backbone constitutes investment, financial, legal, tax or trading advice, nor does it constitute an offer, recommendation or solicitation to buy, sell or hold any financial instrument or to adopt any particular trading strategy.

No guarantee of results

Past performance, backtested performance and simulated results do not guarantee future results. Trading in financial markets carries a high level of risk and may result in the loss of part or all of the invested capital. AI-Backbone makes no representation or warranty, express or implied, that any strategy, parameter set, indicator, tool or output of the platform will be profitable, or that any results shown can or will be achieved in live trading.

Responsibility of the user

The user is solely responsible for the use of the platform, the strategies generated with it and any trading activity resulting from it. In particular, the user acknowledges and accepts full responsibility for:

  • Verifying the accuracy, suitability and safety of every strategy before applying it to live trading;
  • Understanding and complying with all applicable laws, regulations and rules of their jurisdiction and of the brokers, exchanges or prop firms they use;
  • Setting and enforcing appropriate risk limits, position sizing and capital allocation;
  • Any trading decision, trade execution, misuse of the software, or failure to use it in accordance with its intended purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, AI-Backbone, its owners, operators, employees, agents and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive damages, losses or expenses, including but not limited to trading losses, loss of profits, loss of data or business interruption, arising out of or in connection with the use of, or the inability to use, the platform, its strategies, its content or its services. The user uses the platform entirely at their own risk.

In particular, AI-Backbone is never responsible for any potential losses, misuses, misinterpretations or damages resulting directly or indirectly from the use of its platform, its generated strategies or any content published by it. The decision to trade, and the manner in which the software is used, lies exclusively with the user.

Risk disclosure

Trading on margin, trading leveraged products and algorithmic trading involve substantial risk and are not suitable for every investor. You should not trade with money you cannot afford to lose. AI-Backbone does not recommend that any user engage in trading without first seeking independent professional advice and obtaining a thorough understanding of the risks involved.

Intellectual property

All content, software, documentation and other materials provided by AI-Backbone are the property of their respective owners and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Users receive the source code of strategies generated on the platform for their own use, subject to the platform's applicable subscription terms.

Changes and governing law

AI-Backbone reserves the right to amend these terms of use at any time. Continued use of the platform after any amendment constitutes acceptance of the amended terms. These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. Place of jurisdiction, insofar as legally permissible, is Berlin, Germany.
